Pri-Num, a global fintech firm that creates software solutions for banks, retail, and transportation companies, announced today its partnership with Visa and Mastercard to offer Apple Pay to the Azerbaijani bank Unibank.
Pri-Num led the technical integration of Apple Pay for Unibank, representing one of the first deployments of Apple’s digital wallet service in Azerbaijan.
“We are delighted to have introduced contactless payments for Unibank, which will now be able to offer cutting-edge services to its customers. With our experience in the region, we have been able to deliver fast, secure and scalable deployments of Apple Pay and digital wallets for contactless payments on Android phones.”Said Anastasia Zimina, Chief Growth Officer at Pri-Num.
Apple Pay is changing the mobile payments marketplace by providing bank users access to the global payment infrastructure. This technology opens up new opportunities for patrons that are seeking robust contactless payment options, offering them speed, security, and convenience.
With Pri-Num’s deployment, Unibank cardholders do not need to use cards or accounts — they simply need an Apple device to pay for goods or services wherever Apple Pay is accepted.
Pri-Num deployed Apple Pay through its ITS Platform, allowing Unibank to work directly with the service provider without the need for third-party vendors and thereby accelerating the development processes. With years of experience in the region, Pri-Num led the complete integration process without costly and time-consuming provisioning from an outside party.
